The body of a 15-year-old girl, who was found hanging in her neighbour’s house in Mewat’s Ghasera village on Friday, was dug out of her grave on Saturday.
Autopsy was conducted by a medical board of three doctors and it confirmed that the girl was gang-raped and strangled. “We have sent the viscera samples to Forensic Science Laboratory, Madhuban, and handed over the body to her family members.
The body was later reburied in presence of the committee,” said the investigating officer.
A day after her burial, the father of the victim had alleged that his daughter was kidnapped by two youth, and then raped and murdered. After 24 hours of registering a gang-rape cum murder case, Mewat Police has still not been able to make even a single arrest in this case.
An FIR has been lodged against two nephews –Aadil and Akram of the village Sarpanch (Ashraf Khan) and others under Sections 302 (murder), 201 (hiding evidence) and 376D (gang-rape) of the IPC and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
However, when contacted, Deepak Gahlawat, the SP (Mewat), he said: “We still have not officially confirmed the gang-rape. We had also conducted a raid at the house of the victim to arrest them, but they were absconding.”
