Exclusive khadi collection launched at CP outlet

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) launched exclusive Khadi collection of Men’s and Women’s wear on Sunday in its showroom designed by fashion icon Ritu Beri at Khadi India outlet at Regal Building Connaught Place in New Delhi.

Kalraj Mishra, Minister, MSME inaugurated the collection by lighting the  traditional lamp and cutting the ribbon. Speaking on the occasion Mishra said that Khadi is now for each and every one. He said Khadi sales growth has increased three folds and added that  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the Brand Ambassador of Khadi. Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Minister of State said Prime Minister always promotes Khadi even on his every foreign tours. Speaking on this occasion Ritu Beri said that she started her profession 25 years back by  designing Khadi cloths.   

Vinai Kumar Saxena , Chairman KVIC, said, “Khadi which has always created history is again creating history by introducing internationally acclaimed fashion designer Ritu Beri who is now designing trending designs in Khadi. ” Arun Kumar Jha, Chief Executive officer KVIC welcome the dignitaries on the occasion told about KVIC programme . 

The collection consists of Indo-western silhouettes and reflects the Indian charm with a modern flavour.
