Ex-TV employee, five others held for robbery

Six persons, including two juveniles and a former employee of a TV production company, have been arrested for allegedly claiming to be police officials and robbing people in the national Capital, police said on Wednesday.

One of the accused, dressed in uniform, would move around the city with his gang  members in an SUV. The vehicle allegedly had a police beacon. The gang allegedly used to pick up people randomly from various bus stands and dropped them in secluded areas, after robbing them of their belongings, said a police official. He said the gang operated in areas of South-east Delhi from evening till late in the night.

The police imposter was identified as Rajesh, who earlier worked for a TV serial production company.
