Mahesh Yadav, a former Panchayat leader of Chakkarpur village of the Millennium City has been allegedly accused of brutally beating and causing property damage to the owner and an employee of the Krishna Air Travelers on Friday.
The incident took place in the afternoon when Yadav (45) with a group of people went to the travel agency’s office in Chakkarpur to discuss about some ticket cancellation issue. Police said that in a span of a few minutes the conversation heated up and Yadav’s people started damaging the property at the office and brutally assaulted a couple of people.
According to the information received, Yadav was apparently upset as the travel agency did not pay back the money for the cancelled air tickets.
The complainant and an employee at his office received injuries and were admitted to the civil hospital. The owner, B N Lal, has not been able to talk to the police properly.
A case has been registered against Yadav at the Sushant Lok police station under Sections 147, 149, 323, 506, 452 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.
“We still haven’t made any arrest in this case. We are waiting for the complainant to get better and talk about his side of the story. If found guilty, the accused will be arrested,” said Ashok Kumar, SHO Sushant Lok.
