ESIC should ensure quality medical care for Indian workforce: Bandaru

Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment (Independent Charge) Bandaru Dattatreya has called upon the officers and staff of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) to work towards providing quality Medical Care for country’s workforce and stressed the importance of physical activity in reducing illness.
ESIC approved its Annual Report and Annual Accounts for the year 2013-14 for submitting to the Central Government and laying on the table of both Houses of Parliament. Dattatreya chaired the 163rd meeting of the Corporation.
During the meeting, two booklets, one for Guidelines to the ‘Employees’ and other for the ‘Employers’ in Hindi & English languages were also released by the Hon’ble Minister. ESIC is committed to ushering improvement towards delivery of quality services; handling of grievances to its Stakeholders, ie insured persons and employers. These booklets have all the necessary information for employees as well as for employers.
