ESIC does its bit for the cause of women

The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) organised a Seminar on ‘Gender Sensitisation’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day at its headquarter in New Delhi on Friday. The main speakers at the event were renowned media person Vibha Bist, and radio personality Lalima Aneja Dang. A United Nation song on the theme ‘One Women’ composed by acclaimed singers and musicians from all over world was played on the occasion.
Director General, ESIC, AK Agarwal, in his keynote address wished all the women employees a happy International Women’s Day and said that ESIC recognises the contribution of its women employees in the growth of the organisation.
‘International Women’s Day holds special significance for ESIC as on this day we rededicate ourselves to strive for a world that has greater gender sensitivity,’ he said.
He also informed the gathering that International Women’s Day had been observed at all offices/hospitals of ESIC across the country this year.
