Uma Thurman to star in Netflix series 'Chambers'

Los Angeles: Actor Uma Thurman has been roped in by streaming giant Netflix to play the lead in its new drama series 'Chambers'.
The 10-episode thriller series follows a young heart attack survivor become consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life.
However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor's sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased – some of which are troublingly sinister.
The Kill Bill star will portray the role of Nancy, the mother of a heart donor who forges a hesitant relationship with the young recipient only to find out her daughter may not be as dead as she thought, Netflix said in a statement.
Leah Rachel will serve as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Akela Cooper.
Rachel will also serve as writer on the project.
The supernatural-thriller series has been developed by Super Deluxe, the digital studio of Turner.
Uma Thurman, 48, will also be seen in Down a Dark Hall, and Tim Hill's The War with Grandpa opposite Robert De Niro.
