Richa Chadha gets candid about her maiden production venture

Richa Chadha will soon be joining the bandwagon of actresses who have turned producers. Richa, along with her husband Ali Fazal, is coming up with her maiden production venture, ‘Girls Will Be Girls’.

The film that went on floors last November, wrapped up in the last week of December. Spilling some beans on her experience, Richa told a news portal that the film will always be memorable because many firsts are attached to it. The film marks the first film from her production house and the first one after her wedding. Richa also added that the movie helped her evolve as an actor as well as a producer.

‘Girls Will Be Girls’, starring Malayalam actor Kani Kusruti, tells the story of a 16-year-old girl in an elite boarding school whose rebellious coming-of-age phase is hijacked by her mother. The film, which received the ‘Aide aux Cinemas du Monde’ grant from France in 2021, was shot on a start-to-finish schedule in Uttarakhand.

Apart from this, Richa will next be seen in ‘Fukrey 3’ which will also star Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and others.
