Milind Gaba became a Youtube sensation soon after his debut song '4 Men Down' and didn't look back since then. The young artist, who has always been appreciated for his fresh approach towards music, is back with a beautiful wedding anthem. Merging two of the cult classics – 'Soni de nakhre' and 'Oh ho ho ho' – Milind has performed for MixTape season 2 in collaboration with T-series.
Speaking about his experience of working on the song, he said, "It feels amazing. There are a few selected people who are part of this year's edition and I feel lucky that I am deserving enough to be among the other renowned artists of our fraternity."
Milind along with Sukhbir Singh, popularly known as the 'Prince of Bhangra' has tried to give their touch to the original songs. But what makes the reprise version better?
"Well, this is better because I am a part of it," Gaba chuckles. "But for sure, this wedding anthem is going to be on top of the playlist as it has got power, pump, and everything that a wedding song needs. And I must say, the music director Abhijit Vaghani has done a brilliant job in connecting both the songs," he further added.
The 'Aise Na Dekh' singer has always taken a keen interest in rapping despite the music form being not very popular in India.
Does he see a future in rapping?
Clarifying the point he said, "I don't prominently rap now. If you hear my last few releases, I am rather singing in it. So I can say that I have shifted my focus from cult rapping to RnB singing stuff which is romantic. Because it's my genre, I can carry it well. Besides that, there is definitely a future in everything including rapping. Music is vast and you can always play around with it."
Milind was born in a family with a musical background, yet had his own struggles as an individual. "Everybody has to go through struggles and I went through it too. It doesn't mean that if your family is recognized, success will come easily to you. At the most, you may get a chance, but one needs do the main work and show their talent. Eventually, our work will have to speak for us and in that, parents are of no help. After this long journey, finally, I can say it is easy to differentiate myself from my family," he said. All his recent releases including 'Main Teri Ho Gayi', 'Yaar Mod Do', 'Aise Na Dekh' and, 'Haan Haan Hum Peete Hai' became instant hits among the music lovers. People call it 'his magic' while for Milind, it's his attempt to bring out reality through his music.
