Looking forward to embrace Indian culture: Wiz Khalifa

The See You Again hitmaker, Wiz Khalifa will be hitting the Indian road this winter for the very first time. Joining the ranks of Jason Derulo and DJ Martin Garriz, Khalifa will be taking centre stage on the sencond day of the multi genre music festival, Time Out 72 that debuts this year at Goa's preferred music destination, Vagator from December 27 to 29.
In a free wheeling conversation with Shreya Das, the Pittsburgh MC shares his excitement about coming to India. "I am excited to visit India. I am keeping an open mind and going to embrace the culture as soon as I land," he says.
The rapper has managed to reinvent himself within the music industry over the course of his 12 year professional chart – a feat that takes most artists decades to accomplish. Compared to his previous songs, the Charlie Puth assisted track, 'See you again' took him on a completely different level in the music industry and made him a personal favourite to even those who had never heard his previous songs. "My process changes here and there. Every song is different and I don't like to attack each track with the same method. The motto that I have been following is 'never quit' because that's how you retain and make a mark for yourself," says the 'Black and Yellow' singer.
But no matter how far up he goes, Khalifa still cherishes his struggling period. "All the stories from the road when it was just me and my Taylor Gang homies are really something that I will never forget. When we didn't have a bus and we were just doing
everything we could to get people to hear my music was a time that I still reminisce."
What can the Indian fans expect from you in your debut performance? "Every show is about the people. So I will know once I'm there what I think the fans want to see from me. I am looking forward to meeting the people. I love travelling to be closer to my fans," exclaimed the rapper.
