New Delhi: After becoming a successful entrepreneur, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev would soon be a part of your daily TV serials. While announcing about his new avatar, Baba Ramdev said that a 65-episode scripted biopic series 'Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh' based on his life would be aired across the country on February 12.
The serial will be aired on Discovery's upcoming Hindi general entertainment channel in India, JEET. Sharing some real-life instances with the media during a conference, Ramdev, who was present with actor Kranti Prakash Jha, said, "Each and every person has the potential to become a great individual. My only desire is for people to sit together with their families and learn how to overcome conflicts in their lives and become successful."
Adding further, Baba Ramdev said, "I am humbled that a television series is being made on my life. I was initially not keen to open-up my life for a television series but the channel's philosophy of 'Hai Mumkin' attracted my attention."
In reply to a question whether the series would present the political clouts that he enjoys in originality, the Yoga guru said, "I'm a simple man and have no personal ambitions. A sanyasi can only contribute his bit of efforts in the development of the country and I'm doing that through swadeshi products for everyone."
A premiere of the show would be held at Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium on February 10 and the entry will be free for all. Discovery Communications had earlier announced its plan to roll out Discovery JEET, starting by the end of 2017 but now it is slated for 2018 launch.
The programming line-up will include 'Swami Ramdev: EK Sangharsh', a scripted biopic series tracing Baba Ramdev's inspirational journey.
