Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu, who started his career as a child actor by appearing in movies like ‘Zakhm’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ and ‘Raja Hindustani’, is now known as the man for all seasons. Kunal, who is currently being seen on the web series ‘Pop Kaun?’, recently opened up on his journey and how tough it is just being in the industry.

In an interview with a leading media house, the 39-year-old said, “Just being in the industry is a very tough job, especially for an actor, because you are constantly looking for validation. First from the makers, audience, box office, critics and now OTT.”

The actor also added that everyone and everywhere, will have their two cents to give you and at one point, self-doubt will creep inside you.

“Each one has their own journey. I have tried to follow certain advice and it is not presented as an ‘advice’ but as, ‘Maybe you should do this, do that, hire a PR’. I have been here long enough to realise that actually none of this really works,” he added.

The actor, who is now making his mark with comedies like ‘Lootcase’ and the current film ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’, also said that since he started his career with hard-hitting roles in ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Traffic Signal’, he was quickly typecast as a serious actor and it took a lot of time for him to find good roles in comedy.

On the personal front, Kunal Kemmu has been married to actor Soha Ali Khan since 2015 and shares a daughter, Inaaya Naumi, with her.
