‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ grosses Rs 1,500 crore worldwide in two weeks

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has taken the global box office by storm, earning Rs 1,500 crore worldwide within just two weeks of its release, the makers said on Thursday.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by ‘Jio Studios’ and ‘B62 Studios’, the film has made Rs 1,501 (gross) crore worldwide, emerging as the biggest Indian grosser of all time within just 15 days of its release.
The film has broken several box office records, including the biggest Hindi opener of all time, the highest first and second week collections, the biggest opening weekend worldwide and the fastest film to reach Rs 1,000 crore globally.
Overseas, the film has collected Rs 367 crore in the first two weeks, making it the highest-grossing Indian film in North America and the biggest Indian film ever in overseas markets within its first week. It also surpassed the overseas lifetime collection of ‘Dhurandhar’ - the first instalment of the franchise - in just 10 days.
At the domestic box office, the film has grossed Rs 1,134 crore. At the same time, its net collection (after tax figure) currently stands at Rs 961 crore, putting it within touching distance of the Rs 1,000 crore net milestone - a feat achieved by only a handful of Hindi films such as ‘Dangal’.
A sequel to Dhar's 2025 blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’, the film released on March 19 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It stars Singh alongside R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
Set in the Lyari town of Karachi, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ charts the rise of Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari in the Karachi underworld while delving into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a young man who transforms into a covert operative.
