'Clash doesn't always bring negative energy'

This festive season will witness the clash of two big ticket films – Golmaal Again and Secret superstar but Parineeti is not worried .

Parineeti Chopra, a new character to join the Golmaal gang for the fourth installment of the franchise, is looking forward to entertain people with her performance. This Diwali will witness the clash of two big ticket films; Golmaal Again and Secret superstar, but Parineeti, who is working head over heels to promote the movie, doesn't feel a tinge of worry about the clash.
Commenting on the same, she says, "Every time films clash, there are negative reports all around. But this has been the first time probably that we are not hearing anything negative. Media is talking positively with so much dignity and grace that it indeed feels really good. We both have promoted our films equally. Ajay sir and Aamir sir were together a couple of days ago. This positivity in the aura brings in a hope for a 'change'… As clashes doesn't always bring negative energy, rather it gives an opportunity to be together and work to make both films a hit."
Parineeti, who always wanted to be an experimental actor, thinks that comedy is the most difficult genre of all. "It was really a hard task to get into such a character and make people laugh. Honestly, in my real life I love to exaggerate things, do funny stuff and cheer up the people around me. So, comedy has always been something I find myself comfortable in. But performing in Golmaal was very different. I won't deny the fact that though it was difficult, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it."
Calling it a big learning experience, she says, "I have done few comic roles in the past. In movies like Hasee to Phasee and Ladies VS Ricky Behl, my character demanded me to act funny at certain moments, but Golmaal was a completely different genre. Such massy entertainers have a different pitch and delivery. I really would like to thank Ajay sir and other boys, who taught me how to deliver to the audience and make my performance better."
It was for the first time that she worked under the direction of Rohit Shetty. Calling him a wholesome director, she adds that I find him as the best director in the industry. "He makes sure that everyone around him is comfortable and happy. Despite of being a star himself, he is extremely humble and down to earth. I am so much in love with him that I would love to work in his every upcoming movie."
After Golmaal, Parineeti has two other movies, opposite Arjun Kapoor, lined up for her. Refraining to reveal anything as of now, she says, "At this moment, I can just say that we both are really excited as we will be working together again after Ishqzaade. He is so lucky (Laughs)."
