Akshay Kumar to star in Bhushan Kumar biopic

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is ready to play the role of mogul music Gulshan Kumar in the biopic titled Mogul: The Gulshan Kumar Story.

Gulshan Kumar is the founder of the T-Series music label.

Akshay said that his association with the late founder began from his debut movie.

"My association with him began with my very first film. He was the emperor of music! Now know his story Mogul: The Gulshan Kumar Story," tweeted Akshay, who made his acting debut with 1991 film Saugandh.

Gulshan Kumar, who was murdered in 1997, is known to make a boom in the Bollywood music industry in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His music album has also achieved popularity in his days.

The biopic was announced on Wednesday by Gulshan Kumar's daughter, Tulsi, who is a Bollywood playback singer.
