Electoral officers punished for non-performance, graft

The electoral office of Delhi has not only deleted a large number of voters from the electoral rolls, but also taken action against those officers who have failed to perform their duties during the probe to identify bogus voters.
According to the electoral office, six persons have been suspended and FIRs have been registered against 14 officers due to non-performance and demanding bribe during the probe. Delhi Chief Electoral Officer, Vijay Dev, said that show-cause notices have been issued against 56 officers.
