Education directorate releases annual calendar for government -aided schools

Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi has issued it’s annual calendar for the government-aided schools for the academic year 2013-14. The calendar comprises the dates of admission for primary classes, for classes VI to IX, and admission to Class XI.
The calendar also mentions activities like academic work, science projects, sports, vocational and physical education.
According to the school calendar, the admission to pre-primary/ primary classes in government-aided schools will start from 4 March and the declaration of admission list would be done on 25 March. The DoE has given four days time to parents for the submission of required documents – between 26 March and 30 March.
According to DoE, admission to Class VI and IX will start from 1April. The admission to these classes will commence after the declaration of Class X result and the admissions will continue through out the summer vacation. The last day for admission in these classes is 31 July.
Admission to Class XI will commence on 1 April as well and the date for the submission of application forms is 15 June.
For the admission in Class XI, DoE has asked the government-aided schools to declare their first list on 19 June, and last day for admission for the first list is 24 June.
‘In the annual school calendar, we have merely mentioned the dates of admission to various classes.
Very soon the guidelines regarding the admission to these classes will be issued,’ said Amit Singla, director, Education.
