East and North meet musically

Two distinct styles of Indian Classic music, Carnatic and Hindustani are to meet at a juncture.
'Interaction between Hinduastani and Carnatic Music' is scheduled on 23 March at Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts, Janpath.
Dr Karan Singh, President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations and a member of Rajya Sabha, will be inaugurating the event.
Vocalists Dr T V Goplakrishnan and Dr Prabha Atre will be joining the Sitar of Pandit Nayan Ghosh in a session. Carnatic duo of Dr T V Gopla Krishnan and Madurai G S Mani will be joining their Hindustani counterpart Dr Prabha Atre following the first session.
The event will be reaching its high point with the concert of Carnatic Vocalist K Ganesh Kumar.
The event is presented by International Foundation of Fine Arts in association with Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts in association with the government.
