DUTA demands withdrawal of proposal

The Delhi University’s teachers’ body on Wednesday sought the removal of a proposal regarding promotions from the agenda of the varsity’s EC meeting on Thursday after claiming that it was based on a letter which was never issued by UGC. ‘The proposal to bring all cases of promotion with eligibility on or after December 31, 2008, under the new eligibility conditions outlined in the Career Advancement Scheme of 2010 has been listed on the agenda for tomorrow’s EC meeting, but it has no ground,’ DUTA president Nandita Narain said.
