Dust storm brings relief from heat

Delhiites on Friday continued to reel under hot weather conditions throughout the day as the maximum temperature settled at 41.7 degree Celsius which was three degrees above normal. But a dust storm managed to bring in some respite from the scorching heat towards the evening.
After an upward movement for three continuous days, the mercury was 1.1 degree down from Thursday’s 42.8 degree Celsius.
The mercury was at 41 degree Celsius on 29 April which rose to 42.1 degree Celsius the next day, finally reaching a high of 42.8 degree Celsius on Thursday.
According to Met department, minimum temperature was recorded at 26.2 degree Celsius, which was one degree above normal and two points up from previous day’s 24.2 deg Celsius.
Humidity oscillated between 24 to 44 per cent during the last 24 hours.
The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky for Saturday with maximum and minimum temperature remaining between 41 and 26 deg C respectively.
