DU’s first cut-off list out, admissions to begin today

University administration, however, missed its deadline to declare the list by 9 pm but later on separate cut-off lists of individual colleges were uploaded on their websites. The second cut-off list will come out on June 30 and subsequent lists will be declared on July 4, July 9, July 14, July 20 and July 24.
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) was the first to make its list public on the website. The cut-off of its famous BA (Hons) in Economics is 98.25 per cent for general category students followed by 97.375 per cent cut-off for B.Com.
Cut-off marks for various reserved categories for BA (Hons) were from 96.25 to 93.75 <g data-gr-id="46">per cent</g>, for handicapped category students and for B. Com the minimum was 87.5 per cent for SC/ST students.
BA (Hons) English had the highest cut-off at 97.5 for Commerce category students in Shi Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College of the University which was followed by 97 <g data-gr-id="47">per cent</g> for science category and 96.5 per cent for Arts category students.
The general category students which have minimum 96.75 per cent marks have made it to the first list of Khalsa College. The cut-off marks for <g data-gr-id="32">reserve</g> category students are, however, lower.
In Khalsa College, the cut-off of B.Sc (Hons) has been fixed at 96.25 per cent for general students. In Kirori Mal College, the highest cut-off is of BA (Hons) Economics which is 98 <g data-gr-id="36">per cent</g> followed by 97.25 <g data-gr-id="37">per cent</g> for B.Com.
Miranda House has its highest cut-off 97.5 <g data-gr-id="33">per cent</g> for Economics (Hons) and English (Hons) followed by over 96 per cent in Science and Arts disciplines.
In Gargi College also, the maximum cut-off was recorded in English (Hons) at 97 percent followed by BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology at 96.5 per cent. In Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, the maximum cut-off is 97 per cent in B.Com (Hons) followed by 96 per cent in B.Sc (Hons) courses while Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has the highest cut-off at 97.5 <g data-gr-id="48">per cent</g> for BA (Hons) in Economics.
The University administration informed that the admission and fees payment will start on Thursday between 9 am and 1 pm while the admission process in the evening colleges will begin at 4 pm.
“Students will have three days’ time to get the admissions done in their choice of courses and colleges,” said J M Khurana, Dean, Student’s Welfare, Delhi University.
He suggested that students should visit the colleges early in order to avoid <g data-gr-id="52">last-minute</g> rush. “The subsequent cut-off lists will be declared only if the seats are left in the concerned course of the college. However, colleges may reduce the cut-off <g data-gr-id="40">per cent</g> marginally to accommodate more students,” said an official. The university has constituted a Grievance Committee for redressal of grievances related to <g data-gr-id="42">under graduate</g> admissions for the academic session 2015-16.
