Duet magic

Doordarshan Kendra, Delhi is organising a music and dance show – ‘Meri Awaaz Suno’ featuring the best of Hindi film music duet songs. The show is being organised as part of Doordarshan’s mandate of being a Public Service Broadcaster and will give talented singers, instrumentalists and dance troupes from around the country, an opportunity to showcase their talent on the channel by singing immortal duets songs from Hindi films and dancing to evergreen songs.   

 Doordarshan has received tremendous response from participants from different walks of life. In the recent past, Doordarshan Kendra Delhi hosted a series of musical shows   commemorating legends in the Hindi film industry like Mohd Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey. All of the shows, including the upcoming one are conceived by Nadoja Dr Mahesh Joshi, Additional Director General of Doordarshan Kendra, New Delhi, thereby increasing the popularity and viewership of Doordarshan. 

Meri Awaaz Suno, will be held on Sunday, the October 25 at the Zorawar Hall, Manekshaw Auditorium, Delhi Cant from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.  The show will be inaugurated by eminent lyricist Santosh Anand and Dr A Surya Prakash, Chairman, Prasar Bharati will be the Chief Guest for the event. 

The event is expected to be graced by many VVIPS, distinguished members of the Judiciary and other eminent guests. It will be recorded by Doordarshan Kendraand would be telecast on DD National and DD Bharati channels at a later stage.
