DU to give LLB, LLM forms to disabled students for free

The admission committee of Delhi university has decided to give application forms for LLB and LLM 2013 sessions free of cost to disabled students.
DU senior official said, 'Earlier, students were charged Rs 250 for the application form and through demand draft it was around Rs 300. This new resolution of Delhi university will definitely give benefit to the LLB and LLM aspirants with disabilities.'
Vipin Tiwary, officer on special duty at equal opportunity cell, said, 'The university is trying to facilitate higher education, and it is the duty of the vice-chancellor of Delhi university, to ensure that each student with disability is not deprived of getting into higher education because of financial constraint'.
Tiwary also added, 'Mini initiative have already been taken to ensure that students with disabilities are given easy access to education in the University of Delhi. And students who are aspiring for the admission in LLB and LLM would benefit by it.'
The official added that there is five per cent of relaxation for physically handicapped candidates.
Bulletins of information with application form may be obtained from 6 May by submitting a bank draft of Rs 700 (Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates).
The application form could also be requested by post by sending a bank draft of Rs 750 ( Rs 300 for SC/ST candidates) before 25 May.
