DU teachers to hold public meeting for held colleague

Teachers from Delhi University, along with some activists, have decided to hold a public meeting on the arrest of G N Saibaba, who teaches at Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi on the 20 September in the Arts Faculty Lawns, at 1 pm.Â
The group alleged, ‘On 12 September 2013, a fifty-member team comprising of members from the National Investigation Agency, the Central Intelligence Bureau, the Maharashtra police from Andheri in Gadchiroli, the special cell of the Delhi police, Maurice Nagar police station and computer specialists, forcibly entered and raided the residence of G N Saibaba. ‘We feel that attack on teachers within the university by the police force, at the behest of the V-C, has become the norm.’
