DU student hurt as light stand crashes during college fest

Delhi University student Utkarsh Dahiya (22) was severely injured when a light stand came crashing down on a group of performers during a fashion show during the annual festival of Deshbandhu College, Sabrang 2016. The victim is a second year commerce student from Sri Aurobindo College and was participating in the fashion show. The incident occurred on February 2 around noon and the video capturing the incident has gone viral. Speaking to Millennium Post, the Principal of Deshbandhu College Ajay Kumar Arora regretted the incident and said immediate measures were taken to ensure the safety of the victim and he was admitted to the Fortis Hospital for treatment and was now fine.
