DU staff salary to be cut if they join DUTA strike

Delhi University (DU) higher authorities on Monday issued a letter to colleges of the DU regarding the deduction of the salary of the teachers who have participated in the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) strikes. The DU administration has taken firm decision regarding conduction of regular classes and has decided to scrutinise the teachers and cut down their salary if found them sitting on DUTA strike during the class hours. DUTA relay indefinite huger strike began on 10 October in which DUTA expressed its determination to safeguard, at all costs, the democratic rights and dignity of the university community and prevent any further demoralisation of teachers, students and karamcharis.
