DU sports quota trials set to end Sunday

Delhi University’s centralised fitness trials for admission to undergraduate courses under the sports quota will end on Sunday.

“The centralised fitness trials for admission to Delhi University’s undergraduate courses are underway and will continue till Sunday evening,” professor CS Dubey, Chairman, DU Sports Council, told media.
The fitness trials began on Thursday amid a huge turnout. The process is being <g data-gr-id="20">video-taped</g> to avoid any controversy.

“There is no chance of partiality. The whole process is transparent and is being <g data-gr-id="19">video-taped</g>.”
Students will have to qualify either of the two, 50-m runs for endurance or a 1,000-m run or walk and a standing broad jump in the fitness test.

Five percent of the seats have been reserved by the varsity under the sports and extra-curricular activities quota.
