DU Executive Council poll result out

Congress-backed Aditya Narayan Mishra, scored a thumping victory in the polls for the Executive Council of Delhi University. The results were declared on Friday.
Mishra, who teaches Political Science at Arvindo College, and Abha Dev Habib, Physics teacher from Miranda House, bagged the posts by replacing incumbents Dr Panda and Rajeev Ray.
Mishra received 2,790 votes and Habib got 2,290 votes. They defeated the third contender, V S Negi, who got 1,200 votes. The polls for these elections was held on Thursday. Five candidates were contesting for two posts.
The results for Academic Council polls are still awaited.
