DU approves 251 student projects

To inculcate the innovative thinking among students in the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), Delhi University has approved the 251 projects from various fields, which could cost up to a few crore rupees.

Sanjeet Kumar Ragi, deputy dean of varsity, while talking to Millennium post said, ‘The scheme for innovation projects by the University of Delhi is an initiative to encourage undergraduate research in colleges and inculcate innovative thinking in students. Projects for the 2013-14 academic year have been approved after a rigorous process of selection. The guidelines for colleges and principal investigators for successful implementation of the projects are also released. Letters regarding this will be sent to colleges in the coming week after r checking that all requirements of previous Innovation projects have been completed.’

For example, projects called ‘A Journey from a Girl to an Individual: Adolescent life experiences, nutrition and psychosocial well-being of rural elderly population of Delhi’, has been allotted to Aditi Mahavidyalaya College.
