DU announces admission to various courses for 2016-17 session

The University of Delhi on Wednesday, announced the registration schedule for admission session 2016-17 in MPhil, PhD and some undergraduate courses, involving examination-based entrance. The University has asked for “only online” registration process to facilitate easy access to the students across the globe.

For the first time, DU has decided to conduct entrance examination at six centers across the country viz Bengaluru, Nagpur, Jammu, Varanasi, Kolkata and Delhi. The university has also done away with subjective question papers except for the foreign language courses.

The processes of registration will begin on May 13 Morning and will continue till May 31 midnight. “The registration for admission to PG courses will start from the early hours of May 13 and continue till May 31. For the first time, provisions have been made to conduct entrance examinations based on multiple choice questions at six centres,” the statement reads. The registration fee for admission will be Rs 500 for General and OBC categories and Rs 250 for SC/ST applicants.
