Driver held for assaulting, robbing couple in Kalkaji

Three people have been arrested for allegedly assaulting an elderly couple and robbing their house in south-east Delhi, police said on Thursday.
One of the arrested trio, Vikas Kumar, is the couple’s driver. The two others have been identified as Sunny and Rahul. The trio had allegedly targeted the couple in their Kalkaji residence on 5 March and decamped with cash and jewellery worth approximately Rs 20 lakh. Over 20 people, including the family’s drivers and servants ,were interrogated. ‘The team focused attention upon Kumar and his activities were being tracked for the past one month. Two days ago, we managed to arrest him,’ Ajay Choudhry, Additional Commissioner of Police (South-East), said.
