A day after the ragging incident in Noida’s DPS School, father of one of the victim has decided not to send back his son to the school. “I thought DPS is a very prominent school in providing education but after this incident occurred with my son, now I don’t think I will be able to send him back to the same school where there is a life threat. I will request the school management to transfer my son to any other branch. For now, we are waiting for his early recovery,” said the victim’s father. Both the victims were discharged from Noida’s Kailash hospital while one of his friend has returned to the hostel, the other was moved to Bulandshahar for rest.
Meanwhile, sources claim that the school has suspended five students in connection with the incident. However, there was no statement from the school. The police, however, said that they are still investigating the case from all angles. “We are inquiring with the students, as of now no arrest has been made in the incident,” The police have recorded the statements of students and victims. However, as all the accused students are minor and none of them have any criminal history, the police said they will deal with the case very carefully. The police are taking help from the Child Welfare Committee and counselors. “We will make sure that a fair probe is being conducted in the case. Also, as the accused are juvenile, we are dealing with them carefully as their careers will be at stake” said a senior official of police.
