‘Don’t know if Ishrat was a terrorist’

At a time when a huge controversy is going on over alleged Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case, Sushilkumar Shinde said that he doesn't know if the 19-year-old killed in 2004 was a terrorist. ‘I don’t know whether Ishrat was a terrorist, we are still gathering information on this,’ Shinde said while addressing a press conference in the national capital. Interestingly, some reports had claimed that Headley had told the NIA during his interrogation in the US that a terrorist plan, plotted by the LeT, had failed after the death of Ishrat and the three men who accompanied her.
