A 20-year-old domestic help, who hails from Assam, allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan at her employer’s residence in west Delhi’s Kirti Nagar on Friday. Failed love affair is alleged to be the reason behind her extreme step.

Her brother works in Bangalore and the siblings lost their parents few years ago. So far, her uncle who resides in Dhubri in Assam has not come to Delhi to collect her body.

However, police said that her brother claimed he does not have the money to come to Delhi and collect his sister’s body. The body has been kept at Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital and the police are awaiting for the arrival of her either family members before the post-mortem examination.
