Doctors’ strike continues as health services in UP take hit

Yadav on Tuesday again appealed to the doctors to join their duties and treat their patients. He said that a a high level inquiry has already been ordered and no innocent would be punished.

‘I again ask the doctors to see the CCTV recording and could judge who are guilty in the incident,’ he said, while indirectly taking the side of his party MLA Irfan Solanki who clashed with the doctors in Kanpur on Friday night leading to the strike. Yadav said the Kanpur Divisional Commissioner would probe the matter and the guilty would not be spared.

The strike by junior doctors across the state continued for the fourth day on Tuesday in protest against the arrest of 25 junior dectors. The doctors of Gorakhpur, Agra, Etawah, Allahabad, Meerut, Lucknow and other parts of the state have also joined the strike.
