Doctor forgets to put screw into fractured plate

In yet another case of medical negligence, doctors at Rockland Hospital, Dwarka, has come under scanner for not placing screw on the fractured part of a patient and leaving it unattended.
According to the complaint filed by 70-year-old Ram Prasad Ojha, the doctor ‘forgot’ to include a screw in the plate that was to be inserted on his fractured leg. The surgery was conducted by Dr Satya Narain. ‘We got X-ray images and found that the screw wasn’t there. The bones which are supported using the plate will not join properly and will lead to problem in future. When I conveyed this to doctor, he promised to re-operate. But later, he did not perform the operation and gave excuse of his cardiac problem,’ said Sanjay Kumar Ojha, patient’s son.
