DMRC contractor, employee booked for rape

An engineer and a contractor employed with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) were arrested on Sunday for raping a married woman on the pretext of providing her a job.
A 28-year-old woman has alleged that the duo accused called her for an interview on 2 August and allegedly raped her. In her complaint, she told police that when she reached Delhi, the accused took her to a tourist resort in Sonepat and took turns to rape her. According to police, the accused have been identified as SG Sharma (58), an engineer and N Mandal (52), a contractor employed with DMRC. Mandal had allegedly promised the victim a job in DMRC.
Mandal had asked the victim to meet him. He added that he would further fix her meeting with higher officials of DMRC to get her a permanent job. The victim who is a resident of Shakarpur area in east Delhi told police that on the day of the incident, Mandal called her to a restaurant in Prashant Vihar where he was accompanied with Sharma. She went with them to Sonepat resort where she was allegedly raped. On 9 August, she approached Prashant Vihar police station in outer Delhi and filed a complaint against the accused.
A medical examination confirmed raped.Both the accused were arrested from their respective residents in Rohini and Noida and booked for rape.
