DLF Foundation gives Rs 20L for dialysis unit

To support and strengthen public infrastructure in hospitals of Gurgaon, DLF Foundation contributed Rs 20 lakh to the upcoming four-bedded dialysis unit of the Civil Hospital, Gurgaon. The cheque was handed over to T L Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon.

As a part of the CSR activity, the district administration of Gurgaon in collaboration with various corporate groups has planned to set up a four-bedded dialysis unit in the Civil Hospital.

To bridge the gap between demand and services provided by the private hospitals at a much higher rate, the district administration of Gurgaon came up with the plan of setting up of the unit owing to the lack of infrastructure providing quality dialysis facilities in the public health sector of Gurgaon. “The city needs health facilities very badly, for the simple reason being that the population of Gurgaon is growing at a decadal growth rate of 80 per cent. The dialysis centre, which will provide facilities to more than 10,000 people every year, is a project of Rs 48 lakh,” said T L Satyaprakash.
