DJB water safe for drinking: CM

Chief Minister and chairperson of Delhi Jal Board  Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday rubbished allegations made by the opposition that people in the NCERT colony had fallen ill after drinking water supplied by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), and claimed that drinking water supplied by the DJB is safe for drinking as it meets the standards set by the World Health Organization and Bureau of Indian Standard. 

Dikshit also stated that the issue of so-called water contamination should not be politicised as the DJB has been ensuring the quality and purity of drinking water at different levels apart from monitoring the results in the laboratories.
