DJB launches e-interaction facility to serve customers better

 Delhi Jal Board on Friday started an e-interaction facility to update its consumers on bills, payments made and disruption of water supply in an area through SMS.

“Consumers can get regular information about bills, payments made and pending payment via SMS, 
by simply registering their number with DJB,” CEO Delhi Jal Board, <g data-gr-id="21">S S</g> Yadav said. “We will also alert the consumers about the due dates of their payments through SMS,” he added.

According to an official, to avail the facility consumers will have to link their mobile number with ten digits KNO (connection number).

This can be done by sending SMS or by registering at DJB website www.djb.gov.in. Registration via SMS can be done by typing DJBIN and sending it via SMS to 7738299899, the official said.

The Board Director (Revenue), Amit Satija, informed that regular information about bills payments made and pending payment will be sent via SMS to the consumers, who have registered their mobile number with the DJB.

Satija further informed that SMS facility will also be used to make the consumer aware and to enlist their participation in important causes like <g data-gr-id="23">rain water</g> harvesting, and water conservation. This facility will not only benefit more than 21 lakh DJB consumers but will also minimise their grievances about non-receipt of bills, and information about payment etc., the official said.
