District courts to have Wi-Fi facility in 3-4 months

All six district courts in Delhi will have Wi-Fi facility in the next 3-4 months.

Firefly, a joint-venture firm of Airtel and Vodafone, has received the order to install Wi-Fi at the district courts in the national Capital. “Following the leadership shown by the Supreme Court of India and Delhi high court to digitally enable their premise, all district courts in Delhi are now working intensively to provide similar services on their premise," Firefly CEO Raj Sethia said.

The company in January-end had commissioned Wi-Fi at the Delhi high court. Speaking on the time-frame for the Wi-Fi roll out at the district courts, Sethia said, “This is expected to be operational over the next 3-4 months.”  With this facility people will have access to the Internet via Wi-Fi at all public areas of the courts including chamber blocks, lobbies and corridors of the court room buildings, cafeteria, bar rooms and the library.
