Disaster Reduction Day organised by NIDM

National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) on Wednesday organised a nation-wide poster competition for school students on the theme ‘Home Safety and Local Preparedness for Disaster Reduction’ to celebrate UN’s Disaster Reduction Day.
On conclusion of the competition, the Institute organised a programme on Wednesday at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. About 250 senior officials from various ministries/organisations of central/state governments, UN and other international agencies, academic institutes and universities, NGOs, students and disaster management experts participated in the programme.
