Direct Centre or State govt to take over health services: Doctors

Aggrieved doctors of the North and East MCDs have also urged the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) to direct the state or central government to take over the health services from the civic bodies. They also alleged that the civic body is paying hefty salaries to the contractual doctors in the AB Vajpayee North MCD Medical College. “In case, the respondents are unable to provide for the salary to the applicants, the health department of the MCD may be taken over by the department of Health, Delhi government or Union Ministry of Health,” said MCD Doctors’ body in its petition.
