Dikshit undergoes sinus operation

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has been successfully operated on Friday for sinuses by a team of ENT specialists in the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, CM office sources said. Dikshit had a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) by her personal ENT consultant, Dr Devinder Rai, vice-chairman of ENT department, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital under the care of her personal cardiologist Dr Ashok Seth.  According to CM Office sources, Dikshit has been suffering  from sinusitis since last year. Of late, she started having nasal obstruction which started impeding her day to day working specially her public speaking. Dr Devinder Rai and his team consisting of Dr Munish Munjal operated on Dikshit. The surgery lasted nearly an hour and she is declared stable after the surgery. She will be discharged soon, but has been advised rest for days.
