Dikshit lauds capital’s school education

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday claimed school education in the national capital is the best in the country.
While laying the foundation stone of a school at Jaipur Extension-II in Badarpur, she said the government is in the process of setting up of 100 new schools for which land has been allotted.
Dikshit said the new school is being constructed as per green building concept.
The new school building will help in developing an atmosphere conducive to learning, she said.
The school will come up over an area of 3000 sq meter and would have 30 rooms in two-storeyed apart from the offices, labs and public conveniences.
It would be functional within one year and the estimated cost of construction would be around Rs 3 crore.
