Dew factor may come into play in evening

The toss may be crucial in Saturday’s day-night third ODI between India and Australia as dew factor is likely come into play. The days have been bright and sunny in the past few days at Mohali and if same weather conditions persist, dew is likely to be heavy. ‘The dew was very heavy till Thursday. We are taking measures to minimise the dew, but we cannot eliminate it altogether. We have stopped watering. A rope will be used (to clear dew) at the fall of every wicket in the second inningsh,’ PCA curator Daljit Singh said. Asked if dew could play spoilsport, he said, ‘It is heavy, let us see how it is on match day. If it is windy, then dew will be very less. If it is cloudy, there will be no dew. But if it’s a clear day, dew will be heavy.'
