Delhi's security beefed up following Bangalore blast

Security has been stepped up in the national capital on Wednesday with the special checking of in-bound and out-bound vehicles following a blast near the BJP office in Bangalore, which stirred the nation.
A senior police official said that the personnels have been 'alerted' about the incident and there is extra vigil across the city. 'There is an emphasis on checking the vehicles which are leaving and entering the city. We have deployed personnel across the city. There is nothing to panic,' the official said.
According to the official sources, the Home Minister reviewed the security situation in the State this evening. Police have been asked to keep a vigil on suspicious activity and persons in view of the blasts. The p olice have also stepped up vigil at railway stations, ISBTs, IGI Airport, Metro stations, markets and other crowded places in the capital.
Sixteen people, including eight policemen, were inju red in the blast near the BJP city office in Bangalore.
