Delhi’s education dept, NDMC launch ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign

The Directorate of Education (DoE) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have launched a series of cleanliness initiatives as part of Prime Minister’s ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign.
The DoE is organising a campaign under the name ‘Swachh Vidyalay-Swachh Delhi Abhiyan’ from 2 to 31 October in all government, aided and unaided schools, headquarters, field offices, sports complexes and its all other establishments. ‘The larger aim of the campaign is to make cleanliness a habit at personal level, official level and community level among all our children, teachers, staff, officers and through them, in the community and the country’, said DoE in a statement. NDMC, on the other hand, took to ‘Gandhigiri’ to raise awareness about cleanliness. Students from NDMC schools presented flowers on Sunday morning to those found littering in Connaught Place. The students also took out rallies in NDMC areas to spread awareness about
cleanliness.
