Youth murdered in Kalyanpuri over monetary argument

New Delhi: A youth was killed with the blunt object by two persons in east Delhi's Kalyanpuri area on Tuesday, with police on Wednesday saying the incident occurred over a monetary dispute

Cops said the incident happened when the deceased, identified as Shahrukh, had asked one of the accused to the return the money he had given him.

Soon, an argument erupted between Shahrukh and the other youth, who was soon joined by an acquaintance.

Eventually, both the men started beating Shahrukh black and blue, which culminated in him being hit repeatedly with a blunt object, cops added.

Shahrukh was reportedly hit over eight times in his chest, abdomen and neck, police said.

A PCR call was made and he was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. After the incident, police were deployed in the area to maintain peace in the area.

A case has been registered and investigation is going on from all angles.
