Woman, her lover held for murdering husband in Noida
Noida: A 26-year-old woman and her lover were arrested by police in connection with the murder case of woman's husband on the intervening night of May 4 and 5 at Sadarpur village in sector 39 area of Noida.
Cops said that the woman had illicit relationship with with her husband's cousin brother and she involved him to murder her husband.
According to police, those arrested were identified as Anjali and her lover Ankit (24), both natives of Farrukhabad district.
Police officials said that the accused chopped off the husband's head and stabbed him multiple times while he was sleeping.
Sudha Singh, Superintendent of Police (city), Gautam Buddh Nagar said that the two were in an affair and wanted to live separately.
"Anjali was married to Shyam Sunder around seven years ago and the couple started living in Sadarpur village in sector 45 of Noida. Around two years before, Anjali and Ankit, Shyam's cousin brother, developed feeling for each other and both wanted to live separately. However, Shyam came to know about their relationship and he objected. She later told her husband that she has ended her relationship but still kept on talking," said Singh.
The officer further said that Shyam didn't believe on Anjali and continued keeping an eye on her.
"The woman plotted conspiracy to murder her husband and involved her brother-in-law Ankit into the crime. Both of them first slit Shyam's throat while he was sleeping and later stabbed him several times to ensure he is dead," added Singh.
Police said that both the accused have been produced before the court and sent to the jail.
